Free Vintage Streetcars Link Uptown and Downtown Dallas
Ride restored trolleys along McKinney Avenue and read onboard placards tracing the history of each car.
🚋 History on the Rails
The M Line Trolley at 3153 Oak Grove Avenue turns a trip across Dallas into a ride through its transport history. Restored vintage streetcars connect Uptown with downtown through the Arts District, following McKinney Avenue between neighborhood hubs. The line offers free public transit, with direct connections to DART light rail. West Village and Klyde Warren Park are among the places linked by the route.
Inside, placards explain the provenance of each individual car, giving you something to read as the city passes outside. Leave room for the full hour long loop and take the journey at a leisurely pace. These streetcars share the road with general traffic, and arrival times can vary.
Service runs Monday to Thursday from 7 AM to 10 PM, Friday from 7 AM to midnight, Saturday from 10 AM to midnight, and Sunday from 10 AM to 10 PM.
