Free Giant Chess and Park Games at Seattle's Hing Hay Park
Seattle's Park Concierges set out the bistro chairs and game pieces here, and know where to eat nearby.
🪑 Who puts the chairs out
Hing Hay Park has a person on staff who makes the square easier to use. Seattle calls them Park Concierges, and Hing Hay is on the daily list from 10am to 4:30pm.
Each day they set up and put away the bistro furniture, the signage and the games. Giant chess comes out; so does connect four. The tables, chairs and games are free. Ask them which games are out, and where they would eat nearby. Game availability and concierge coverage may vary with weather and staffing.
Then walk five minutes to Uwajimaya, 600 5th Ave S, open daily 8am to 9pm, for the one thing you already know how to cook.
