🎻 One Night in Flushing

🎼 What's on the Program

New York Classical Players open their November program at Flushing Town Hall, the first of four stops across the region. Lars-Erik Larsson's Concertino for Double Bass starts the night with bassist Milad Daniari, followed by Kevin Puts's Credo. The evening closes on Brahms's Double Concerto, his final orchestral work, with violinist Kyung Sun Lee and cellist Clive Greensmith as soloists under music director Dongmin Kim. The concerto is heard here in an arrangement by Yoomi Paick.

🎫 How Free Admission Works

Admission is free with an RSVP through Eventbrite, linked from the orchestra's concert page. Donations are optional, with a suggested $20 for adults and $10 for students and seniors going toward keeping the ensemble's concerts free. Flushing is the only Queens stop on this run, with the remaining dates moving to Brooklyn, the Upper West Side and New Jersey over the following three nights. Missing Thursday means traveling farther for the same program.

📍 Getting There and Who It Suits

Flushing Town Hall stands on Northern Boulevard at 137th Street, a short walk from the Main Street stop on the 7 train. The concert begins at 7:30 PM on Thursday, November 5. Arriving early leaves time for dumplings on Prince Street before the downbeat. It suits listeners who want a full orchestral program without a ticket price. Anyone planning to drop in should RSVP first.
