Four RiNo Taprooms and a Mile of Denver Street Art

A guided mile through RiNo, four taproom stops, and the stories behind the murals you pass on the way.

Plan a RiNo taproom crawl past the murals.

RiNo sits just north of downtown Denver, and the stretch between its taprooms runs past its walls. Four stops, two and a half hours, one guide talking about what is in the glass and about who painted the building next to it.

The operator warns that the finish time moves with group size and with how busy each taproom is. Reviewers describe groups as small as two and as large as about fifteen. Tell the guide at the start if you are working against a clock. A single booking holds up to six people.

The ticket covers the pours. Four craft beer spots, a souvenir tasting glass, and at least ten samples along the way by the operator's own count. Snacks and tips sit outside it, and reviewers are blunter about that gap: no food turns up along the route. Eat beforehand or carry something.

The calendar carries one departure a day, Friday through Sunday. Confirmation is instant.

Four Stops, and a Glass That Goes Home With You

The operator counts at least ten samples across the afternoon, and its own FAQ adds a pint at the end of the tour. The souvenir tasting glass is included in the price. Reviewers put the pours at three to four per stop, and describe guides building the lineup around what the group liked.

Guests who do not drink beer report being handed something else at every stop, non-alcoholic beer included. Cider turns up on the route as well. The listing describes the four places as breweries or taprooms, and the operator writes that one of them may be a cidery.

Its own photo captions put one stop at Bierstadt Lagerhaus and its Slow Pour Pils. One detailed guest account places that closing pint in a working lager hall, poured after a walk past the tanks, with an invitation to stay on.

The Walls Between the Taprooms

The murals are the other half of the walk. Between taprooms the guide pauses at walls and talks about the work and the people who made it, which the listing counts as part of what the ticket buys.

RiNo reads like a neighborhood and is not quite one. Its co-founder told the New York Times in 2021 that it is technically an arts district assembled from parts of five north Denver neighborhoods.

That half happens on open sidewalk. The operator runs the walk rain or shine, and asks guests for comfortable shoes and a look at the day's forecast.

Twenty-One and Up, and the ID Has to Be Current

The age floor is twenty-one, and the operator asks for a government-issued photo ID. Its FAQ is blunt about the second half: an expired card means no alcohol served, whatever age it shows. The operator points to Colorado liquor law, which it says requires a card carrying name, photo and date of birth.

The booking form sells one ticket type, for ages twenty-one to ninety-nine. The operator says it can make an exception for a very young child, and it lists the conditions: a baby or young toddler who stays in a stroller or carrier for the whole walk, one child per group, and an adult taking full responsibility.

Parking in RiNo, and the Two-Hour Trap

Nearly all of the parking near the start is free or capped at two hours, by the operator's own guide. The listing says not to park at a two-hour meter, and the walk runs about two and a half hours.

That guide points to Blake Street between 29th and 31st for spots without a time limit. The tour page suggests Walnut Street between 28th and 31st. Whichever block you land on, the same guide asks anyone driving to settle on a designated driver before the first pour.

📍 The walk starts inside the Ratio Beerworks taproom at 2920 Larimer Street. The listing tells guests to find the group inside and, failing that, to ask the bartender for the Denver Microbrew Tour. Ratio opened on this block in February 2015, founded by three veterans of Denver punk bands.

Friday and Sunday groups leave at 12:15 PM, Saturday at 11:45 AM. A full refund needs a cancellation at least twenty-four hours before departure. Restrooms come up along the route, and the operator suggests a water bottle and something salty between pours. Book dinner three to three and a half hours after the start time and the table will still be waiting when the last glass goes down.
