Four NYC Bathhouses for Early Winter Nights

Four bathhouses, four rhythms: an 1892 East Village banya run by two owners, a Flatbush soak with a midweek deal, a Williamsburg thermal-pool complex, and an old-school Brooklyn banya with a pool and a kitchen. Pick by budget, timing, and heat.

Four Bathhouses on One Map

East Village: $60–65, Two Owners

New York's 1892 banya runs on two calendars: Boris and David alternate weeks, and a card bought from one is useless in the other's shift. Single admission is $60 on one site and $65 on the other, before sales tax and card fees. Thursday after 5 PM and Sunday after 2 PM are the mixed sessions; earlier Thursday and Sunday hours are men only. Minimum age is 18, co-ed hours require covering up, and shorts and robes are provided. Five saunas, a cold plunge, and a roof deck fill an afternoon.

Flatbush: $40 on Wednesdays

Brooklyn Bathhouse is the budget pick, with a Wednesday pass at $40 for four hours of access. Entry for that deal runs 10:30 AM to 4 PM, so an early afternoon start leaves time for the hot soak, cold plunge, and three saunas. Other weekdays are $50 and weekends $65, both for four hours. Swimsuits are required everywhere because the bathhouse is co-ed. Guests must be 18 or older to use the facility, anyone aged 15 to 17 is admitted only with a guardian present, and no one under 15 gets in. The building runs 9 AM to 11 PM Sunday through Thursday and to midnight Friday and Saturday, but the saunas, steam rooms, and pools close 30 minutes earlier, at 10:30 PM Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 PM Friday and Saturday.

Williamsburg: From $39, Priced by Slot

Bathhouse Williamsburg sells a day pass from $39, and the price moves with the day and time slot, so an off-peak weekday costs less than a Saturday. The pass covers 8 AM to 11:30 PM with three hot pools at 104°F, two cold plunges, two neutral pools, a rooftop pool that is open in winter only when weather permits, a 185 to 195°F banya, a tropical sauna, and a steam room. Guests must be at least 18 and wear a swimsuit, and the bathhouse is mixed-gender. Check in at the booked time, stay as long as you like, and plan on no re-entry.

Gravesend: $70 Weekdays, $80 Weekends

Bath Club of NY is the old-school Brooklyn banya, with a 192°F Russian sauna, a Turkish steam room, a men's bath house, and a 30 by 60 foot pool kept at 82°F. A whole-day pass is $70 on weekdays and $80 on weekends; the $35 early bird runs 8 to 11 AM on non-holiday weekdays only. Children are no longer admitted as of 09/28/26. Saunas and steam rooms are co-ed, and the kitchen serves Eastern European comfort food, so a soak can stretch into a meal.
