What began two decades ago as a garage homebrew operation is anchored by Black Jack Brown, an English-style brown ale that earned gold at the Texas Craft Brewers Cup. Instead of an airy, cavernous brewing hall, the indoor quarters are tight, dark, and straightforward, stocked with board and card games alongside live local music and sports on screen. Pints and tasting flights share room with whatever the visiting food truck is turning out, including staples like fish and fries.
