Four Brooklyn Comedy and Nightlife Rooms, One Night Each

Confessions sits at 333 Marcus Garvey Boulevard, and the C (A late nights) at Kingston–Throop Avenues is 0.73 miles, about a 16-minute walk, away. Comedy night runs on Fridays. Debbie Shields owns the bar and goes onstage to introduce the comedians herself. Karaoke and open mics are on the calendar too. Friends and Lovers is at 641 Classon Avenue in Crown Heights, and the C (A late nights) at Franklin Avenue is roughly 350 meters from the door. The back room does salsa, vinyl nights, dance parties, poetry and the occasional comedy bill. Comedy here follows the events calendar rather than a fixed weekday. Union Hall at 702 Union Street runs comedy and music in a basement room below the Park Slope bar, 300 yards from the R at Union Street. Start times and prices move with each bill: recent listings carry 5 PM, 7:30 PM and 10 PM shows across different dates. Check the calendar for the night you want, then buy through Eventbrite or the venue, the only places tickets are sold. Upstairs, two bocce courts stay free on a first come, first served basis outside league hours. The room goes strictly 21 and over after 6 PM.

Young Ethel's is at 506 5th Avenue in South Slope, 0.36 miles from the F and G at Fourth Avenue–Ninth Street. Wednesday is the free one: We Have Fun, a stand-up show from Zach Sims and Dan Wilbur, sits in the back room with doors at 7:15 PM and the show at 7:30 PM, no cover.
