Forty Acres Woods

Managed by the Forest Preserves of Cook County in Palos Park, the site supports year-round recreation ranging from bicycling and on-leash dog walking to cross-country skiing. Horse riders can take advantage of dedicated equestrian parking before heading onto the broader 20.4-mile Sag Valley Trail System. For larger outdoor gatherings among the wooded scenery, Grove #1 accommodates up to 300 people with an event permit.
