Set along San Francisco’s Pacific coast, the site originally served as a military fortification guarding the Golden Gate. Today, it features miles of scenic hiking trails and some of the best hang gliding conditions in the country. It is also exceptionally popular with dog owners due to its expansive off-leash areas.
