A rare surviving WWII mobilization post in the Marin Headlands, pairing preserved barracks with coastal trails.
Description

Perched north of Rodeo Lagoon at the Pacific edge, the grounds preserve mess halls and support buildings that tell the story of soldiers who waited for an enemy that never came. Beyond the military history and direct access to Rodeo Beach, the complex stays in active use, with its structures serving as offices and housing for the National Park Service and its park partners.
