Behind the landmarked glass facade, the space houses a pocket forest of trees, ferns, flowers, and a quiet pond. Visitors can wander the different levels, and a wheelchair-accessible path, reached by a lift in the southeast corner, covers most of the garden. Every visit requires online pre-registration by 5 PM the day before. Enter at 320 East 43rd Street, where security checks your ID against your registration, inspects bags, and runs a weapons scan.
