Description

Taking its name from the Swedish for “bird nest”—derived from a family name meaning “bird on a branch”—the two-acre estate on Oleson Road was deeded to Nordic Northwest in 2014 by Sir Ross Fogelquist. A collector throughout his adult life, Fogelquist is a member of the Order of the Polar Star and was knighted by the King of Sweden. The property, which has hosted guests for more than six decades, was formally added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2020.
