Fly Away Redbirds – Morning Ride

This excursion trades the modern commute for a trip on vintage Redbird subway cars that were in active service from 1959 through 2003. The experience begins at the historic Old South Ferry station, an early 20th-century terminal closed to the public since 2017. Before departing, you have time to wander the platform to inspect original mosaics and terracotta artwork or photograph the train. The route heads north, granting a behind-the-scenes view of an MTA maintenance yard in the Bronx before looping back downtown.
