Description

Located at SE 75th Avenue and Flavel Street in the Brentwood-Darlington neighborhood, the park was acquired in 1953. It takes its name from Captain George Flavel, a prominent early Columbia River bar pilot and Astoria resident. Alongside everyday neighborhood recreation, the site serves as a designated Basic Earthquake Emergency Communication Node (BEECN) for post-disaster assistance.
