At the heart of this fifth annual event sits the interactive community altar, Twenty Petal Flower, designed by Mestiz Studio and Powerhouse Arts. The plaza hosts a mix of active workshops and traditional showcases, ranging from Mexican folklore performances by Calpulli Mexican Dance Company to craft-focused sessions. Visitors can participate in flower-making with Mano a Mano, assemble Día de Muertos booklets with the Center for Book Arts, or try DIY printmaking and marigold paper-flower activities led by Poster House. For those looking to lean into the aesthetic, the program also provides La Catrina face painting and skull decorating.
