Fitler Square
4.7 (147)park
A half-acre neighborhood park centered around a Victorian fountain and bronze sculptures of turtles, a bear, and a ram.
Description

Once described as a mudhole in the mid-20th century, the square was revitalized through a partnership between local residents, the City of Philadelphia Department of Parks and Recreation, and the Fitler Square Improvement Association. Tucked within the surrounding neighborhood of the same name and bounded by 23rd, 24th, Pine, and Panama streets, the grounds hold a distinct sculpture of three turtles by Eric Berg alongside figures of a grizzly bear and a ram.
