First Drink at the 1790 Inn, Then Savannah's Haunted Bars
A two-hour walk through Savannah's Historic District, trading ghost stories between bar stops with a drink in hand.
The night starts outside the 17Hundred90 Inn on East President Street, where the group checks in, picks up wristbands and gets a first drink to carry. The operator points out that Savannah's open-container rules let guests keep that drink with them on the walk.
From there a guide leads the group through the Historic District for about two hours, with bar stops and a few haunted places in between.

Tickets are sold per person to guests 21 and over, and drinks are paid separately at each bar. This booking refunds in full when cancelled at least 24 hours before the 7:30 PM start, and not at all inside that window.

The listing says it plainly: "Not a Paranormal Investigation, It's A Walking Haunted Pub Crawl." The operator's own page adds that it is definitely not PG, that saucy language comes up, and that some guests smoke along the way. Two reviews from August and October 2026 found it light on scares. Others praise the stories and the company.
Most nights visit four bars. The operator's page says Sundays visit three. Neither the listing nor the operator publishes a fixed list of bars, and reviewers describe different line-ups, from a rooftop bar to a last stop on the waterfront.
Where the Walk Goes Between Drinks

The listing's haunted stops are Colonial Park Cemetery, with stories of Revolutionary War soldiers and yellow fever victims, and Wright Square, which it calls the old hanging square. It also passes City Market and Factors Walk, just above River Street.
The City of Savannah opens Colonial Park Cemetery to pedestrians until 5:00 PM from November through March and until 8:00 PM the rest of the year, and its cemetery rules ban alcohol on the grounds. Expect the stop on this drink-in-hand walk to happen at the fence: a 2023 reviewer described it as "a locked gated cemetery." The listing ends the walk at or near Colonial Park Cemetery, and sometimes at Chippewa Square.
Stage Names, Big Groups, and a Guide You Don't Pick
The guides work under stage names. The listing names Hoodoo Joe, Penny Dreadful and Madame Red as hosts, and the operator's guide page says Hoodoo Joe is the new owner, taking over from founder Spooky Steve. Reviews from 2025 and 2026 credit other guides as well, and the booking page has a single option that does not say who leads a given night.
The listing says weekend tours often sell out with up to 30 people per guide. A September 2026 reviewer arrived to find more than 30 waiting, and an April 2025 reviewer said part of their party got separated in a crowd for about five minutes. Stay close to the guide at each stop.
Stairs, Cobblestones, and What to Bring
The operator calls this a walking tour with steps, stairs and cobblestone streets, and says it is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The listing marks it as suitable for all physical fitness levels and, in the same list, advises against it for travelers with mobility issues, spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health.
Bring a photo ID, which the listing says the bars require, plus comfortable shoes, insect repellent and an umbrella or poncho, all on the operator's list. As of October 28, 2026, the booking calendar showed a 7:30 PM tour every night through December 31 except October 31, and the operator's own calendar had no January or February 2027 dates loaded yet.
📍 Meet out front of the 17Hundred90 Inn at 307 East President Street, by the awning with "17 Hundred 90" on it. Check-in runs from 7:20 to 7:35 PM, and the walk sets off once everyone has a drink in hand. The operator says the show wraps up around 9:30 PM, with the rest of the night in the Historic District ahead.
