Fire Fighters Memorial Park
4.2 (80)park
Built on the site of a former fire station, this one-acre neighborhood park stands as a tribute to firefighters.
Description

Set along 228th Street SW on the border of Mountlake Terrace and Brier, the grounds trace back to the original Fire Station 18, which stood here until its demolition in 2012 following the station's relocation to Poplar Way. The space initially opened as Larry Egbert Park, dedicated to a Mountlake Terrace firefighter killed in an automobile crash in the early 1970s. In the mid-1980s, with the blessing of the Egbert family and at the request of the local fire department, the site was officially rededicated to honor all firefighters.
