Finley Dunne's Tavern
4.6 (233)bar
A classic Lakeview tavern where cold pints, burgers, and game-day crowds meet a dash of Chicago newspaper lore.
Description

Established in 1996 near the Paulina Station, down the street from Wrigleyville, the tavern borrows its name from Chicago Evening Post columnist Finley Peter Dunne, creator of fictional bartender Mr. Dooley and an advocate for the neighborhood local. On game days, it serves as an official Blackhawks bar and Miller Lite Chicago Bears headquarters, filling up for wings, a large beer selection, and cheap eats. The kitchen anchors the menu with staples like the famous Ryan Burger and Hillbilly nachos, while most weekdays offer a distinctly calmer, uncrowded room.
