Finally in the Picture: A Private Yellowstone Photo Session
A private photographer for half an hour or an hour on a Yellowstone trip, so whoever usually holds the phone gets in the frame.
Most Yellowstone family albums are missing one person, the one holding the phone. This listing books a private photographer for thirty minutes or a full hour, and the session is for your group alone. There is no fixed meeting point: after you book, the operator sends a phone message with the spot, and the listing says you can name one of your own.
It is filed under West Yellowstone, the town at the park's West Entrance, and comes in four versions: thirty minutes or an hour, each as a morning or an evening session. The listing names no photographer and carries no traveler reviews yet.

Thirty minutes returns 20 professionally edited photos and an hour returns 45, in full resolution, through an online gallery. The price is set per person and drops as the group grows. One adult alone pays the most per head, three or more adults pay the least, and children and infants have lower rates of their own.
Booking closes 48 hours before the start time, and confirmation is instant.

The listing describes a session across photogenic spots and lesser-known corners, and leaves the exact place open. The operator's own terms add that the assigned photographer contacts you 24 to 48 hours before the session. That message is the moment to propose a place, a stretch of the Madison River for example.
Inside the park, the place matters. Yellowstone's no-permit rule for small photo groups does not cover small or confined spots with heavy visitor traffic, and the park names Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic, Fairy Falls Overlook and Artist Point as summer examples. A quieter spot away from those viewpoints is the one to suggest.
Evening Start Times Stay Put While Sunset Moves

Morning sessions can start on any half hour from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and the evening ones, which the listing calls sunset sessions, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on every day of the year. The sun keeps a different schedule. For West Yellowstone, the US Naval Observatory puts sunset at 9:13 PM on June 21 and at 4:47 PM on December 21. Around midwinter every evening session starts after the sun is down, and a 7:00 AM start comes before sunrise.
The roads change too. The park's projected 2026 dates keep the road from the West Entrance to Madison open to cars from April 17 through October 31. From December 15, 2026 to March 15, 2027, the West Entrance is open only to commercially guided snowmobiles and snowcoaches. The listing keeps selling sessions through all of it.
Eight People Is the Park's Line
Yellowstone needs no permit for still photography when eight or fewer people are involved, the gear is handheld or on a tripod or monopod, and the shoot stays in public areas without getting in other visitors' way or claiming a spot for itself. A group of nine or more needs a park permit, and this listing takes up to fifteen travelers in one booking. Drones are prohibited anywhere in the park.
Those rules come from the park's own film and photography permit page. The listing says nothing about permits either way.
Delivery, Weather and Running Late
- The listing quotes delivery in four to five working days, counted Monday to Friday. The operator's own terms say delivery typically takes five to seven business days
- The gallery stays open for 30 days after delivery, and may be deleted after that
- Color correction, exposure balance and minor object removal are included. Skin retouching, composite edits and RAW files may cost extra
- Unless you object in writing, the operator may use selected images for its own promotion. Opting out takes an email to the operator before or right after the shoot
- Running late: tell the photographer at least an hour ahead. Without notice, the photographer waits up to 35 minutes, and the session still ends at its original time
- Shoots go ahead in most weather. A new date or a full refund comes only if the photographer judges the session unsafe or impossible
- Cancel at least 24 hours before the start for a full refund
The booking form has no age band for 11 and 12: children are priced from 4 to 10 and adults from 13. A family with an 11- or 12-year-old should ask the operator how to book that child.
📍 There is no fixed meeting point. The operator confirms the spot by phone message once you book, and the listing takes your suggestion.
Pick the evening start nearest that day's sunset, answer the message with the place you have in mind, and for once the person who always takes the family photo gets to stand in it.
