Filipino Nepali Flavors Meet French and Japanese Techniques
A tiny Astoria kitchen shifts from a la carte to Saturday tasting, with limited seating and a leisurely pace.
🍽️ Three Ways In
Ramro moves Filipino and Nepali flavors through French and Japanese techniques in a tiny Astoria room. The menu offers three distinct formats, a la carte, a six course tasting, and industry night pulutan. Diners can order creative plates like ube gnocchi, then leave room for cheddar and parmesan ice cream drizzled with olive oil.
The room is run by a minimal crew who double as bartenders and cooks, giving service a warm, leisurely pace. On 38th Street in Astoria, seating is limited, and booking ahead matters. Saturday is tasting only, with 6 PM and half past eight PM seatings.
A la carte service runs Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday from 5 PM to half past nine PM, with the kitchen closing 30 minutes earlier. Tuesday and Wednesday are closed. The compact schedule leaves Sunday as the final a la carte night of the week.
