Feeding Four at Bavel Means Building the Menu

Flatbreads, spreads and one large format cut between two, ordered rather than left to chance in a loud Arts District room.

Order one lamb neck for four.

🍽️ Build the table around one big cut

Four people at Bavel want the menu built rather than ordered one dish at a time, and the kitchen already cooks that way. The food runs as a shared feast, flatbreads and spreads first, then vegetable plates, cured meats and a large format meat or fish, with desserts carrying modern Middle Eastern touches at the end. Plates arrive to be passed and the room is loud enough that nobody needs to be polite about it. Book a table for four or take the counter, which runs from five until eleven every night. Order two spreads, one flatbread each and one large format cut between two, and ask what came off the fire that day. The room runs hot, so a later seating suits a group.
