Expanding the Ancient World Workshop: Practical Magic: Harnessing the Supernatural in the Ancient World

Led by Carl Walsh and Leopoldo Fox-Zampiccoli, this session forms part of the Expanding the Ancient World professional development series. Teachers engage in object-based learning activities to examine how historical practitioners sought to handle dangerous forces, looking at practices ranging from invoking demons to appealing to ancestral spirits in both the material and immaterial worlds.
