Description

Named for Emma Lazarus, the poet whose words are inscribed on the Statue of Liberty, Emma’s Torch operates as a nonprofit social enterprise. The cafe provides in-depth culinary training and empowerment education to refugees, asylees, and survivors of human trafficking, who hone their skills directly in a professional kitchen. Alongside weekend brunch, the kitchen serves lunch classics and artisan coffee shaped by the students' diverse cultural heritages.
