Description

Dating back to 1703, the alley features a collection of early American structures built between 1720 and 1836. While most properties along the narrow passage remain privately owned residences, houses #124 and #126 operate as the museum. The site is run by the Elfreth's Alley Association, established in 1934 to preserve the street and share the stories of its artisans and working-class laborers.
