El Dorado Nature Center
4.8 (2,431)park
A 105-acre sanctuary where dirt trails wind around lakes and a wooden bridge leads to an island visitor center.
Description

Tucked between the San Gabriel River and the 605 Freeway, the grounds provide sanctuary for plant and animal life alongside the urban grid. Routes through the forested stretches and along the stream cover two miles of dirt trails and a ¼-mile paved trail. Past the entrance bridge, the island visitor center houses educational displays, an art gallery, and a gift shop stocked with environmentally themed books.
