El Dorado East Regional Park

Developed starting in the 1960s, the 388-acre grounds accommodate specialized hobbies alongside everyday recreation, with dedicated spaces for radio-controlled gliders and model sailboats. Over four miles of paved bicycle trails and a 12-station physical fitness course wind through the park, while group and family visits center on playgrounds, picnic shelters, the El Dorado Frontier train ride, and youth overnight camping facilities. The park sits adjacent to the separate El Dorado Nature Center, though visitors regularly encounter substantial weekend crowds.
