Local dairy farmer and 58-year South Bay resident Robert Egger Sr. donated the 8.62-acre grounds in 1945 for community use. Alongside outdoor picnic shelters, the facility features an indoor complex equipped with a gymnasium and kitchen, bordered by a 2025-renovated playground and adult fitness area.
