Edna White Community Garden
5.0 (7)park
Around $50.00
Once an abandoned lot, this tranquil Morgan Park garden now yields local honey and fresh produce for the community.
Description

Dedicated since 1993 in honor of community activist and gardener Edna White, the grounds operate as an active neighborhood hub centered on cooperative growing. The site runs on a Food Co-Op membership program paired with regular co-op gardening workdays, channeling vegetables directly to organizations like Burrito Brigade-Chicago. Alongside its beds and lovely plantings, the space also convenes neighbors for public gatherings, including a family-friendly Day of the Dead celebration.
