Description

Managed by Portland Parks & Recreation, this dedicated green space in the Lents neighborhood gives local residents room to grow vegetables, fruits, and flowers. First conceived in a 1994 park master plan, construction began in 2011 on an open-grass field just east of the Portland Memory Garden. On-site composting stations and tool sheds keep the setup grounded in practical urban agriculture and community connection.
