Earl's Beer & Cheese keeps its beer list small on purpose: about 20 taps, but with a local lager for the cheap-beer fan and Vermont picks for the nerd. The beer cheese is the draw—hard to find done well elsewhere—and it arrives with good bread and friendly staff who tailor recommendations. Food runs to mozzarella sticks, tater tots, mac and cheese, and small plates like BBQ brisket tacos. The vibe is chill, with low lights and Christmas lights up even in March, and prices are kind for 2025. One visit found the room full of professionals and rather quiet, with a cool back area.
