Doña Leti’s

4.4 (3,776)restaurant

Born from a neighborhood fruit trailer, this Houston spot draws crowds for rich birria and ornate fruit arrangements.

Description

Before securing a permanent home on South Post Oak Road, founder Doña Leti built her following by rolling a cooler door-to-door, selling from a pickup bed, and parking a food trailer in the same neighborhood spot for years. The menu's lineup of fruit arrangements, smoothies, and drinks took off into a viral phenomenon once birria joined the board, triggering three-hour waits and daily sell-outs. Today, her children run the brick-and-mortar dining room just down the street as an ongoing tribute to her recipes and legacy.
