Description
Augusto "Cuco" Salazar Sr. worked two jobs to fund his dream of running his own business, saving enough to buy a small beer lounge in 1969. When the building next door went up for sale, he acted quickly, sold the bar, and opened the first Don Cuco in Toluca Lake. Driven by Salazar's determination and a commitment to service, the venture grew from that initial adjacent lot into an enduring piece of Southern California's Mexican dining landscape.
