Dogs Can Roam Mulched Trails And Paddle In Arlington

Walk your dog at an unhurried weekend pace, with agility equipment adding exercise and training to the outing.

Make time for a morning walk.

🐾 A Slower Start

Give Saturday morning a slower start at Shirlington Dog Park, where the first plan is simply time outside with your dog. At 2710 S Oakland St in Arlington, the grounds are fully fenced for off leash play, with space for dogs to run and socialize while you keep the outing unhurried.

Mulched trails give the walk a route, and a natural stream offers dogs somewhere to paddle. Dedicated agility equipment adds an exercise and training option to the open grounds. You can spend the morning walking, let your dog investigate the water, or make the equipment part of the outing. Wash stations are available for rinsing down before heading home.

The park is open daily until sunset and closes for scheduled maintenance on the morning of the third Thursday each month. For a weekend plan, leave room for the walk and a rinse rather than squeezing the whole outing between errands.
