Originating in 1915 as The Footlights with a staging of *The Amazons*, the company stands as America’s third-oldest continuously operating theatre. It spent decades as Honolulu Community Theatre before adopting its current name, eventually replacing its aging playhouse with a rebuilt facility that opened in January 2023 with clear sight lines and tuned acoustics.
