Description
Along the northernmost stretch of Scottsdale Road, the corridor opens up views toward Pinnacle Peak, Lone Mountain, and Black Mountain, alongside the McDowell range and Tonto National Forest. Established in 1963 as a local landmark and preservation effort, the route is maintained by volunteers known as Friends of the Scenic Drive. Roadside signs and exhibit areas dot the drive to share background on regional history and desert wildlife.
