Description

Operated by Arizona State University, the preserve protects rock art created by the Hohokam and other ancient cultures. A quarter-mile self-guided trail winds through a peaceful desert setting, offering close views of the carvings alongside a free audio tour. Indoors, the visitor center and gallery delve into regional archaeology and heritage. While visitors appreciate the setting and concentration of carvings, operating hours are relatively limited.
