Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre
4.7 (847)theater
A Dallas Arts District theater built to transform, rearranging its stage and seating from proscenium to flat floor.
Description

Designed by REX/OMA (Joshua Prince-Ramus and Rem Koolhaas), the facility departs from conventional layouts by placing backstage, administrative offices, and support areas stacked above and below the auditorium. Freeing up the central chamber allows the venue to deploy movable towers and floors, enabling each production to overhaul the room into configurations such as a thrust stage.
