Description

Founded in 1903 by seven daughters of American missionaries to safeguard early Hawaiian heritage, the organization maintains two landmark royal properties: Hānaiakamalama (Queen Emma Summer Palace) in Honolulu's Nuʻuanu Valley and Hulihe‘e Palace in Kailua-Kona. Inside, the experience unfolds through quiet rooms and informative guided tours centered on original furnishings, royal portraits, and 19th-century Hawaiian artifacts.
