Operating since 1964, the complex extends well beyond workout machines and swim lanes. Alongside a gymnastics center and a licensed preschool, recreation and recovery amenities include a splash pad, spa, and sauna. Everyday routines also reach into nutrition and food skills through an on-site café and a dedicated kitchen for cooking demonstrations and classes, serving members from La Jolla and neighboring communities from Del Mar to Pacific Beach.
