4.6 (437)gallery
An 1886 church transformed by artist HENSE's vivid murals into a Southwest DC gallery and gathering space.
Description

Originally Friendship Baptist Church, the building served one of the District's oldest African-American congregations and was among the few structures left untouched after Southwest DC's mid-century urban renewal. Across its 15,000+ square foot space, the venue—formerly known as Blind Whino—hosts community programming, private dinners, corporate gatherings, album release parties, and immersive performances.
