CultivaLA Westlake Community Garden
4.0 (6)park
An active Westlake community garden growing fresh organic produce and sharing harvests through a free open-air market.
Description

Rooted in the Westlake and MacArthur Park area, the space is organized around a 12-week urban agriculture model driven by resident cultiva-dores tending beds of herbs and vegetables. Operated by nonprofit CultivaLA, the garden links food access with an intergenerational approach centered on agricultural literacy, mentorship, and workforce development. Rather than acting as a static plot, it treats everyday cultivation as a tool for environmental justice, community empowerment, and local entrepreneurship.
