Description

Starting from Kamehameha Highway near Kahana Bay Beach Park, the trail climbs rapidly through eroded and potentially muddy lower elevations before leveling out at a clearing above Kaʻaʻawa. The vantage point takes in turquoise waters, Puʻu Piei, and the Koʻolau Mountains, making it a noted spot for sunrise. The 0.6-mile round trip involves scrambles alongside dramatic cliff drop-offs and high exposure across potentially hazardous terrain.
