Description

Spanning 1.06 acres of flowers, trees, and grass, the park extends the length of a city block and the width of a half-dozen rowhouses. More than 40 years ago, the site was an alley lot of concrete and asphalt littered with abandoned cars around a burned-out building before neighborhood residents worked together to transform it.

Also known to some as The Cave Yard, the grounds honor Crispus Attucks, an African American former slave and the first person to die in the Boston Massacre. Today, the alley property is owned and managed by a nonprofit community development organization.
