Crescent Park
4.6 (90)park
Shaped by Jens Jensen, this quiet Beverly green space pairs mature oak groves with open ballfields and walking paths.
Description

Named for the elliptical drive that once arced through the property, Crescent Park took shape after the Calumet Park District acquired the grounds in 1914. Its sports facilities and soft-surface playground are nestled directly into the slopes of the Tinley Ground moraine, a glacial feature that provides well-drained soil for the park's black and white oaks. A paved nature path circles the greenery for neighborhood walkers and runners, while the grounds host baseball, soccer, and tennis camps.
