One of LA's first community gardens, this Mid-City oasis has nurtured neighborhood plots and local growers since 1979.
Description
Located in an urban neighborhood with few parks or green spaces, the site features 36 plots serving 50 gardeners. Most live nearby or in Koreatown, and more than half are seniors. The garden also functions as a resource for the larger community, offering gardening education and welcoming children and visiting school classes.
