Costumed Kids Trick-or-Treat Through Bryant Park's Holiday Shops
Magic, face paint and a candy run fill the park's new holiday shops on the Friday before Halloween.
🎃 The Halloween Party
🍬 Candy Among the Kiosks
Tricks and Treats is Bryant Park's annual Halloween party for kids, on Friday, October 30, from 4 to 6 PM. It lands two days after Bank of America Winter Village opens, and the new Holiday Shops kiosks double as the candy route. Kids trick-or-treat at participating shops for the full two hours, and the park lists the party as free for kids of all ages.

⏰ Choosing Your 4 PM
Three things start at 4 PM in different corners of the park: Chris Capehart's magic show at The Deck, face painting and pumpkin decorating at Le Carrousel, and trick-or-treating at the Holiday Shops. Crafts follow at Le Carrousel at 4:30 PM, and Crazy Science takes The Deck at 5 PM. One workable order is magic first, shops and crafts until 5, then the science show. Free treat bags go first come, first served while supplies last, and not every child is guaranteed one. Carousel rides with the headless horseman cost five dollars and sit outside the free party.

🧭 Getting There and Fit
Bryant Park runs from 40th to 42nd Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. The B, D, F and M stop at 42 St–Bryant Park and the 7 stops at 5 Av, and MTA data lists neither station as accessible, which means stairs with a stroller. Everything runs outdoors with no posted rain plan. It works best for younger kids in costume, and the free-admission Winter Village rink is steps away afterward.
