Description

Opened in 1969 to carry California State Route 75 between San Diego and Coronado, the 2.12-mile prestressed concrete structure rises with a 200-foot vertical clearance designed to accommodate large naval ships. Beyond the expansive look out toward the Pacific Ocean, drivers should note its incline and narrow lanes along the crossing.
