Description

Originally erected by the Continental Oil Company to welcome fairgoers, the building was deeded to the local Jane Douglas Chapter in October 1937 instead of being removed as planned. Between fairs, it functions as a working chapter house for member workshops, teas, and the David Pendleton Society of the Children of the American Revolution.

During its annual public opening, the interior focuses on American history and preservation through poster displays, historical flags, patriotic videos, and musical presentations, accompanied by authentically costumed hostesses.
