Put an art stop between work and the rest of your Thursday or Friday at Wonzimer on South Avenue 17. The gallery is open Thursday through Sunday from noon to 7 PM and closed Monday through Wednesday.
The independent gallery pairs rotating contemporary exhibitions with a program that includes solo presentations and group shows. Artist walkthroughs sit alongside opening and closing receptions, offering several ways to follow the exhibition program beyond browsing the work. Alaïa Parhizi and Aidan Nelson founded the creative hub together in 2018.
The Wönzimer Artist Residency Program adds open resident artist studios alongside the main exhibition slate. That pairing brings exhibition viewing and the studio side of the gallery into the same cultural stop, with free public entry.
